The 2021 Region Track and Field Carnivals will take place across seven locations on Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th February 2021.

Event Schedule & Timetables

A provisional timetable will be available on each individual Region page after the close of entries. Timetables are modelled on the State Track and Field Championships timetable, events will be held on the same day of the weekend, however, the timing can differ and may also alter after the close of entries.

Rules & Regulations

There are minimum performance standards to be eligible to qualify at the State Championships in the Race Walks and High Jump events. Region Track & Field Carnival High Jump starting heights will be set at 10cm below the State starting heights for each age group. Please refer to the horizontal menu option: ‘High Jump & Walks’ for further information.

There are no qualifying times for entry into Region Track & Field Carnivals for Race Walking.

Athlete Event Scratchings

If athletes cannot attend the rescheduled Region Track & Field Carnivals, on either or both days for any reason, if they scratch before the deadline of Tuesday 23rd February 11.59 am, LAVic will offer a refund per event, to these athletes.

Refunds will only be issued to those events scratched through the online portal before the closing date and time.

Any athlete that scratches after Tuesday 23rd February 11.59 am, will need to advise their Centre so an athlete scratch form can be filled in by the Centre and handed to the Region on the day, no refunds will be offered.

Athlete Appeals

For season 2020-21 due to COVID restrictions and the changes made to participation requirements, there is no appeals process to participate at the 2021 Region Track and Field Carnivals if participation has not been met.

There are no exemptions permitted for direct entry into the State Track & Field Championships.
