2025/26 State Winter Track and Field Championships
The 2025/26 Winter Track and Field Championships will be held on Sunday, 9th August 2026 at Edwin Flack Reserve, Berwick.
This meet will be conducted as a form of Combined Event. Athletes will compete in 5 events (4 for Multi-Class). There will be no awards for the individual events but there will be awards for the top 3 athletes in each age group/gender across the 5 events (4 for Multi- Class).

Time: 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Age Groups: U9 – U17 Athletes
Entry Requirements
Athletes wishing to qualify for the 2025/26 Winter Track and Field Championships must qualify via the 2025/26 Winter Track and Field Qualifiers HERE. There is no direct entry to this event.
Athlete Scratchings
Progressions to the LAVic Winter Track & Field Championships are now available. Parents of any athletes that have progressed but will not be attending the Championships are asked to email brett.johnstone@lavic.com.au to confirm their withdrawal so that place can be offered to an alternate athlete. Alternate athletes have been listed for each age group, and these families will be contacted if a space becomes available in their age group.
Maximum numbers per age group
The maximum number of athletes that can qualify for this event via the 2025/26 Winter Track and Field Qualifiers are:
U9-U13 – 16 Boys + 16 Girls – per age group
U14-U17 – 12 Boys + 12 Girls – per age group
Multi-Class – 8 Boys + 8 Girls per age grouping
All Athletes are required to compete in all events allocated to their age group at the event to receive an overall placing. Events are conducted as a “Combined Event” with points awarded based on an athlete’s finishing position in each event.

U9 to U17 Boys – 5 Events (60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Discus)
U9 to U17 Girls – 5 Events (60m, 300m, 700m, Long Jump, Shot Put)
Multi-Class (Boys & Girls) – 4 Events (60m, 300m, Long Jump, Shot Put)
