State Teams - Little Athletics Victoria

Little Athletics Victoria offers a pathway for individuals to compete in state representative opportunities against athletes from around Australia in both track and field, and out of stadia competition. State teams comprise athletes who have met certain criteria after competing in state level events.

Australian Athletics Cross Country Championships (U10 Only)

The Australian Cross Country Championships is Australia’s premier national cross country event and provides LAVic members, born 2016, with the opportunity to represent Victoria at the 2026 edition in Ballarat, Victoria.

The Championships bring together athletes from across Australia and provide participants with the opportunity to compete at a national level while developing friendships, teamwork, sportsmanship, and pride in representing Victoria.

Date: Saturday, 22nd August 2026
Championship Location: Victoria Park, Ballarat (Google Maps)
Age Groups: U10 Athletes Only (Born in 2016)

The LAVic team entry form will be shared directly with those who competed at the Australian Cross Country Championships Selection Trial and those who have an accepted Discretionary Selection Form.

Australian Little Athletics Championships (TBA)

The Coles Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) is a national, teams-based Track & Field championship.

Information regarding the 2027 staging is yet to be announced. Details will be shared here when available.

Additional State Team opportunities may be available at through Athletics Victoria, however it is important to note that alternate membership and qualification requirements may apply.
