Meritorious Service

The nomination is required to conform to criteria in Regulation 14 (Administrative Requirements for Service Awards of The Association), in particular Section 1 Clauses 1.5.

A minimum of eight years of Meritorious Service that has positively contributed to the betterment of the Association. A minimum five years of such service must be outside the member Centre in an operational, administrative or key role at Region/State Association level. This includes voluntary service above and beyond general expectations and includes key roles or positions at State Association competitions. The service outside the member Centre may be concurrent with continued service at the Centre.

Distinguished Service

The nomination is required to conform to criteria in Regulation 14 (Administrative Requirements for Service Awards of The Association), in particular Section 1 Clauses 1.4.

A minimum of twelve years Highly Meritorious Service of an exemplary nature that has positively contributed to the betterment of the Association. A minimum of eight years of such service must be outside the member Centre in an operational, administrative or key role at Region/State Association level. This includes voluntary service above and beyond general expectations and includes key roles or positions at State Association competitions. The service outside the member Centre may be concurrent with continued service at the Centre.

Highly meritorious service as referred to in the Constitution is taken to mean service of excellence and of superior quality that has contributed to improving the operations of the Association and has benefited the members.

Exemplary nature is taken to mean being commendable and/or being a role model to others and contains elements of having positively changed the nature of the way the Association operates.

Life Governor

The nomination is required to conform to criteria in Regulation 14 (Administrative Requirements for Service Awards of The Association), in particular Section 1 Clauses 1.3.

A minimum of fifteen years of consecutive Highly Meritorious Service of an Exemplary Nature that has positively contributed to the betterment of the Association. A minimum of ten years of such service must be outside the member Centre in an operational, administrative or key role at Region/ State Association level. This includes voluntary service above and beyond general expectations and includes key roles or positions at State Association competitions. The service outside the member Centre may be concurrent with continued service at the Centre.

Jeff Crouch

The nomination is required to conform with criteria in Regulation 14 (Administrative Requirements for Service Awards of The Association), in particular Section 1 Clauses 1.6.

  • Nominees cannot be a member of any Little Athletics organisation or an affiliate in any way.
  • Nominees must have been involved for a period of no less than six consecutive years.
  • Nominees must have displayed a commitment to the betterment of Little Athletics generally…at Club, Centre, Region/State Association level.

Length of Service Awards

The nomination is required to conform to criteria in Regulation 14 (Administrative Requirements for Service Awards of The Association), in particular Clause 1.7.

  • Nominees must have undertaken 30, 40 or 50 years cumulative voluntary service to the Little Athletics movement, with the majority of service undertaken at Club, Centre, Region and/or State level within the auspices of Little Athletics Victoria.
  • Service is not required to have been continuous.
  • Awards may be presented posthumously.
  • Milestones must have been achieved post 2015.
  • Previous recipients of a Meritorious Service Award, Distinguished Service Award or Life Governor Award are not eligible for a Length of Service Award.
