2025 State Race Walk Road Championships
Little Athletics Victoria (in conjunction with the Victorian Race Walking Club) will hold a Winter State Race Walk Road Championship in 2025. It is open to all registered competitive Little Athletes Victoria members, from U9-U17. All distances will feature Boys and Girls races in their respective age groups.
Medals will be awarded to those who’s final placings are 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and gender. Final placings are awarded after all judge’s decisions have been factored into the finish line placings.
Entry Fee: $15 per Athlete +admin fee (Coaching Sessions and Clinic are free)
Date: Saturday 14 June 2025
Location: Middle Park Bowling Club (Google Maps)
Age Groups: U9 – U17 Athletes
Registrations Open: Wednesday 14th May
Registrations Close: 11am, Tuesday 10th June (No late entries can be accepted for Championship Events)
Entry Requirements
To participate in the 2025 LAVic Race Walk Road Championships an athlete must:
Be a 2024/25 LAVic financial registered competitive member (this includes Winter season members).
Final Timetable
1:45pm – 3.0km – Under 15, 16 and 17
2:15pm – 2.0km – Under 14
2:35pm – 2.0km – Under 13
2:55pm – 2.0km – Under 12
3:15pm – 1.5km – Under 11 Boys
3:18pm – 1.5km – Under 11 Girls
3:30pm – 1.5km – Under 10 Boys
3:33pm – 1.5km – Under 10 Girls
3:45pm – 1.0km – Under 9 Boys
3:48pm – 1.0km – Under 9 Girls
Note: Presentations for each event will be made approximately 20 minutes after the completion of that event once the judge’s cards have been collated and any disqualifications advised.
Races will be preceded by:
11:00am – Judging clinic: Introductory session for those who would like to begin judging race walking.
11:00am – Coaching clinic for Coaches: This session is for Coaches to discuss issues with coaching athletes.
11:45am – Coaching session for athletes: How to Race Walk, understanding judges and the warnings given.
