2026 State Race Walk Road Championships
Little Athletics Victoria (in conjunction with the Victorian Race Walking Club) will hold their annual LAVic State Race Walk Road Championship. It is open to all registered competitive Little Athletes Victoria members, from U9-U17. All distances will feature Boys and Girls races in their respective age groups.
Medals will be awarded to those who’s final placings are 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each age group and gender. Final placings are awarded after all judge’s decisions have been factored into the finish line placings.
Entry Fee: $15 per Athlete +admin fee (Coaching Sessions and Clinic are free)
Date: Saturday 13th June 2026
Location: Middle Park Bowling Club (Google Maps)
Age Groups: U9 – U17 Athletes
Registrations Open: 4:00pm, Tuesday, 12th May 2026
Registrations Close: 11:00am, Tuesday 9th June 2026 (No late entries can be accepted for Championship Events)
Entry Requirements
To participate in the 2026 LAVic Race Walk Road Championships an athlete must:
Be a 2025/26 LAVic financial registered competitive member (this includes Winter season members).
Draft Timetable
1:45pm – 1.0km – Under 09 Boys
1:47pm – 1.0km – Under 09 Girls
2:00pm – 1.5km – Under 10 Boys
2:02pm – 1.5km – Under 10 Girls
2:20pm – 1.5km – Under 11 Boys
2:22pm – 1.5km – Under 11 Girls
2:40pm – 2.0km – Under 12 Boys / Girls
3:00pm -2.0km – Under 13-14 Boys / Girls
3:20pm – 3.0km – Under 15-17 Boys / Girls
Note: Presentations for each event will be made approximately 20 minutes after the completion of that event once the judge’s cards have been collated and any disqualifications advised.
Races will be preceded by:
12:00 p.m. – Coaching clinic for Coaches: A session for coaches to discuss issues with coaching athletes (30 minutes).
12:00 p.m. – Judging clinic: An introductory session for those that would like to learn more about Race Walk Judging (30 minutes).
12:30 p.m. – Coaching session for athletes: A coaching session for athletes to learn how to Race Walk & to understand the judges & warnings given (45 minutes).
