Get ready for an unforgettable day of celebration and competition! LAVic is thrilled to announce its 60 Years Open Day, happening at Duncan Mackinnon Reserve in Murrumbeena on October 20, 2024. This event is open to all registered U9-U17 athletes for the 2024/25 season and promises to be a fun, exciting day of competition and participation.

Entry Fee: $15 per event

Date: 20th October 2024

Location: Duncan Mackinnon Reserve, Murrumbeena (Google Maps)

Age Groups: U9 – U17 Athletes

Entries Open: Monday, 7th October 2024 – 5:00PM

Entries Close: Monday, 14th October 2024 – 11:00AM

Please Note: Dogs are NOT permitted within the venue. Dogs are not permitted at any Little Athletics Victoria event, please ensure you remind your parents, as they will be asked to leave if they arrive with a dog.

Entry Requirements

To participate in the LAVic 60 Years Open Day an athlete must:

1. Be registered & financial for the 2024/25 Season at time of entry.

Please note athletes that have been selected in a Region Team are ineligible to enter Open Day events.

Event Schedule

The following table lists the events to be contested for each age group and gender for the Open Day competition:

Notes:

• Athletes can only enter a maximum of three events.
• Athletes may enter an event in one age group up where there is not an equivalent in their own age group except for Hurdles events where they can only compete in their own age group.
• There is a maximum field size of 16 athletes per event. Once entries received meet the maximum number of entries for an event, entries will close for that event.
• U16 and U17 will compete as one (U17) age group.

On Track Program 

On Track for U6-U8s from 11:45am – 12:45pm (assemble at 11:30am). Followed by face-painting!

60 Years of Little Athletics Commemorative Shirt

Athletes have the opportunity to purchase a 60 Years of Little Athletics Commemorative T-Shirt. This shirt features all 164 previous/current Centre’s along with a colourful design that represents each of Little Athletics Victoria’s seven Regions.

Event Pickup Shirt Orders will close on Tuesday 16th of October at midday.

Shirts are to be picked up at Region Challenge/Open Day on 20th October 2024.
