2021 State Cross-Country Championships
The State Cross-Country Championships has been Postponed.
The State Cross-Country Championships is an individual Cross-Country event. It is held on terrain that is undulating and provides a challenge to the athletes. The course may incorporate one or two laps depending on the distance and layout of the course.
The State Teams event only, will be conducted concurrent with the individual event at the State Cross-Country Championships.
Due to restrictions advised in the RAD’s for Victoria (released on June 3, 2021) and the settings for which community Sport can recommence, it has been decided that the Region Cross Country Carnivals cannot proceed in 2021 with any degree of confidence or certainty, as a result the Region Cross Country Carnivals have been cancelled and the State Championships will become a direct entry event.

Age Groups
Athletes in the U9-U16 age groups only can enter the State Cross-Country Championships. Athletes must be registered financial competitive member to register and compete.
Awards
To recognise athlete performances that would have been achieved at the Region Carnivals, Region individual medals only will be presented in addition to State individual medals, based on placings.
The State teams event will be conducted concurrent with the individual event at the State Championships.
Multi-Class Athletes
Multi-Class athletes must have a provisional or full classification. When registering via the online portal, you will be required to list your classification.
The Age group types are U9-U10, U11-U12 and U13-U16.
Age Group Promotion
Athletes must only compete in events listed for the age group in which they are registered.
– Athletes cannot be promoted from the U6, U7 or U8 age groups.
Athlete Event Scratching
Scratchings after the closing time and date (11.59am – Monday 5th July) will need to be provided to your Centre or Team Manager, prior to the event. Scratchings after this date are not eligible for a refund of the entry fee.

Australian Cross-Country Championships
In 2021, Athletics Australia and Little Athletics Australia will present the Australian Cross-Country Championships at Victoria Park, Adelaide. It will be a two-day event with individuals competing on Saturday and a relay championships of teams of four (4) on Sunday.

Little Athletics (U13) – Age groups will be based on being under the specific age at 31 December 2020. i.e. in the calendar year in which the 2020/2021 Little Athletics summer season commenced. Four U13 girls and boys will be selected from the 2021 LAVic Cross Country Championships.

Event T-Shirt
Orders for the commemorative State Cross Country long sleeve top will open on the 6th of July – please note the tops will not be available for collection at the event due to current COVID-19 restrictions.
Please note, T-Shirt orders close at midnight on 5th August.
The tops will be made to order and mailed to you, please expect delivery 6-8 weeks after the event allowing for manufacture and distribution.
T-shirt orders will close on the 5th of August at midnight so that the total order can be sent for manufacture.
There is a flat rate shipping fee of $5 per order for up to 2 tops.
