Little Athletics Victoria is awaiting protocols from Sport & Recreation Victoria before our metropolitan Melbourne Centres can begin.
It has been great to see our Regional Centres start to welcome Little Athletes and their families back to Little Athletics for the new season.
On Sunday (25-Oct-2020), Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews announced that from 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday (27-Oct-2020) that non-contact community sport for 18 years and under would be permitted under the COVID-19 restrictions in metropolitan Melbourne.
The steps from here – Our Centres who fall within metropolitan Melbourne are awaiting the release of protocols for the safe conduct of community sport. We, Little Athletics Victoria (LAVic), receive these protocols from Sport & Recreation Victoria (SRV), which are then adopted to suit Little Athletics, before being released to Centres. We expect this to occur within the coming week.
