2023 Region Cross-Country Carnivals
The 2023 Region Cross-Country Carnivals are an individual Cross-Country event that also serves as a qualifying event for the 2023 State Cross-Country Championships held at Lake Dewar.
Although it is an individual event, there is a Teams element. The Teams event will be conducted concurrently with the individual event and is based on the results of the first 3 athletes from each Centre across the line.
In order to participate at the State Championships, the entrant must have ‘Competed and completed’ the relevant event at the Region Cross-Country Carnival (* as per Competition Regulation – Rule 602: Participation requirements for Region & State Competitions).
Date: 29th or 30th July 2023 (see table below)

Please Note: Dogs are NOT permitted within the venue. Dogs are not permitted at any Little Athletics Victoria event, please ensure you remind your parents, as they will be asked to leave if they arrive with a dog.
Results
Results (Individual & teams) for each Region will be available via Results Hub by no later than midday-Monday 31st July. Where possible some regions may have access to provide individual results on the day, but where not, we appreciate your patience in them being posted by midday Monday.

Age Groups
Athletes in the U9-U17 age groups only can enter into the Region Cross-Country Carnivals. Athletes must be registered financial competitive member to register and compete.
Multi-Class Athletes
Multi-Class athletes must have a provisional or full classification. When registering via the online portal, you will be required to list your classification.
The Age group types are U9-U10, U11-U12 and U13-U17.
Age Group Promotion
Athletes must only compete in events listed for the age group in which they are registered.
Note: Athletes cannot be promoted from the U6, U7 or U8 age groups.
Timetable
Draft timetables for each Region Cross-Country Carnival will be made available on the table above of the event page. The final timetables will then be available upon the close of entries.
The timetables will also be published and sent to all athletes as part of the Athlete Information document in the week of the event.
