LAVic Relay events will be held on both Saturday 13 December (Under 9 to Under 12 and Multi-Class) and Sunday 14 December (Under 13 to Under 17) and will see the introduction of Field Relays for Under 13 to Under 17 athletes.
AV Relay events will be held on Friday 12 December (4x1500m, U20 4x800m and Open 4x400m Heats), Saturday 13 December (U14, U16, U18 & Open 4x100m, 4x400m and SP & LJ Field Relays) & Sunday 14 December (U20 & Overage 4x100m & 4x400m, SP & LJ Field Relays and Open 4x800m).
The ZATOPEK:10 will be staged on the Saturday evening.
AV CEO Matthew Duck said it marked an exciting coming together of events.
“On the back of the announcement last week that the Nationals will be a combined effort between AA and LAA, this announcement marks another important step in the coordination between AV & LAVic and our respective calendars.”
LAVic CEO Anthony McIntosh echoed Duck’s sentiments.
“We’re excited by the opportunity to work collaboratively and provide what promises to be an exciting weekend of competition for athletes of all ages.”
Further details about the weekend, including structure and draft timetable will be provided in the coming weeks.
